Learn one input at a time

Begin on a flat stretch of Skate School at Normal difficulty. Hold Space to push and use small A / D corrections. Release steering before attempting a trick so the board has a simple path to follow.

If you bail, resume or restart from the pause menu. Repeat on the same short line rather than switching worlds: this separates input practice from unfamiliar terrain.

The ollie gesture

On a controller, pull the right stick back and flick it forward. The client’s own loading tips describe the same gesture. On a keyboard, the right stick is mapped to ArrowDown and ArrowUp: pull back with Down, then transition quickly to Up.

Timing is the useful thing to practice. The keyboard produces discrete stick positions rather than a physical arc, so a press sequence can feel different from a gamepad. Try the motion at low speed on level ground before adding a ramp.

Add turns and grabs later

Once pushing and the ollie gesture feel consistent, add a small turn before the jump. The loading tips describe sideward right-stick flicks for flips and shoulder buttons for grabs; Z / X map to the bumpers.

This port is a work in progress. A visible trick or original-looking animation does not prove console parity, and this guide does not promise every trick, score or challenge from the original game.
