Skate 3 browser loading and WebGPU troubleshooting
Separate download delays, browser requirements and memory problems.

The game requires WebGPU in a secure context: HTTPS or localhost. If the page reports no GPU, use a browser with WebGPU support and confirm hardware acceleration is enabled. A current browser still depends on the device and graphics drivers.
The surrounding site and guides work without WebGPU. Starting the game is a separate step. Opening a local HTML file directly is not supported; use the supplied local server.
Understand the loading stages
Engine download and compilation come before rendering. Character, interface and other startup data must also be read. The selected map then has its own loading phase. A progress label for saved data means it is being read and unpacked, not necessarily fetched again.
This build compresses the engine for the supplied server, starts the iframe on demand and reuses saved pack ranges. It does not make a first-time game download disappear or control the speed of the third-party data host.
If the load stops
Keep the tab open while loading. If a download fails, reload and try the same small map; previously completed ranges may remain cached. Check your connection and whether the external resource service is reachable.
Avoid clearing site data as a first troubleshooting step: it forces new downloads. A large city can also exceed available browser memory. Try Skate School and lower graphics settings before concluding that all maps fail.
What has been tested
The local desktop preview reached Skate School, accepted Space input and opened the pause menu. Other devices, all worlds, first-visit network conditions and sustained sessions have not all been validated. There is no guaranteed load-time number across devices.
Sources & verification
Controls come from the published client. Map names and gameplay notes are based on this local build; the availability of every original feature is not assumed.
