Start your first session

Open the play page and press Load game. Continue through the boot notice; this site starts Skate School directly. If you open the standalone game.html entry without quick mode, press Enter at the title and choose Freeskate → World → Skate School. Map names remain English in the game.

Click the game before using the keyboard so the iframe has focus. Esc opens the pause menu and resumes play. Close game on the surrounding page stops the engine; leaving a guide open does not keep another session running.

Keyboard mapping

The browser client emulates an Xbox controller when no gamepad is connected. WASD controls the left stick; the arrow keys control the right stick. They are separate inputs: use the right stick for Flick It gestures rather than expecting the arrow keys to steer.

Space maps to A and pushes. E / Q / R map to B / X / Y. Z / X are LB / RB; Shift / C are LT / RT. V / B press the left / right stick; I / J / K / L are the directional pad. Tab maps to Back.

When a key seems unresponsive

Menus accept the mouse. Click a visible row to select a world or option; this is easier than learning controller navigation first. In play, hold Space briefly to push instead of tapping while the tab lacks focus.

A connected gamepad can take precedence over the keyboard emulation. Disconnect it to test keyboard input, or use its standard Xbox button layout. The exact feel depends on the browser engine build; this is not a promise of console-game parity.

Controls come from the published client. Map names and gameplay notes are based on this local build; the availability of every original feature is not assumed.
